Matt James is one of Queensland’s most distinctive musical characters. For this, his fourth solo album ‘Futurizms’, Matt worked with close friend and producer Matt Aitchison (formerly of Queensland’s world music group OKA), to produce over an hour of great downtempo music. It is a real collaboration of the pair’s musical styles, mixing lush instrumentation with electronic programming, and ranging from chilled out organic grooves through to world-beat numbers.
