One World Music is pleased to finally bring the much acclaimed Gaudi album 'Bass Sweat & Tears' to Australian shores. Three years after its initial release the album is still considered essential listening by fans and media around the world.
Bass, Sweat & Tears takes the listener on a journey from Burkina Faso to Iran; from Pakistan and Northern India to Papua New Guinea and from the Amazon rain forests to Italy and Spain.
An evocative, deep and elegant work in which indigenous themes and global beats contrast and compliment each other.
The key undertaking in Gaudi's work is to unify different forms of music and represent them in his own personal style, while at the same time, most importantly, keeping the heart and significance of the cultural roots.
In the making of this album, Gaudi worked with and recorded a total of 42 musicians from all over the world, creating a blend of global influences that evades categorisation and reflects wholly the philosophy that irrespective of which corner of the globe it comes from, good music is good music. |
